How do you join?
Springtime Tallahassee has a membership of over 200 individuals! As a member, you join on of the three Krewes within Springtime Tallahassee. Each Krewe represents a historical time period in our state’s history:
- Spanish (1528-1821)
- War & Reconstruction (1821-1900)
- 20th Century & Beyond (1901-Present)
Each Krewe offers 80 “memberships”. There must be an opening in the Krewe that you want to join. A member shall be a person of good character and community standing, and take an active interest in the promotion of the City of Tallahassee, our community, and the Springtime Tallahassee festival.
Active members are entitled to all rights and privileges of the corporation, including the right to nominate officers, vote and hold office.
Financial obligations:
$25 Application fee
$700 Annual Dues – for Couples (a couple joins as one member)
$580 Annual Dues – Applicants under 35 years of age
$410 Annual Dues – for Single Members
Annual Krewe Dues (determined by each Krewe, range between $50-150)
- Each new membership must complete 10 hours of volunteer work for the Springtime Organization. Single members must complete 5 hours of volunteer work.
- Each Krewe has a monthly individual Krewe function, meeting and/or party.

Fall Kick-Off Party – September 13, 2024
Howl at the Barn – October 19, 2024
Governor’s Ball – January 11, 2025
Float Gloat Party – March 27th, Thursday before the Grand Parade
Crash Party – March 29th – After a hectic three days and nights of non-stop working, it’s Crash Time!
Each Krewe elects a Krewe Chief and other officers it deems necessary. Throughout the year, each Krewe meets monthly. The Krewe develops a closeness and camaraderie among members. Each Krewe is responsible for organizing one of the major parties held throughout the year.
